About Me

Hey there! I'm Justin Shen, or better known as Shenny Visuals. After graduating from the University of Illinois with a business degree in 2022, I moved to Chicago, where I decided to take a gap year & pursue my passion in creative media instead of working in consulting.

After working as the Head Creative Manager for a few months at a sportswear start-up, I took a leap of faith & decided to run my freelancing business full-time instead.

Needless to say, taking a gap year & freelancing full-time were the two best decision I could have made. I've gotten to work with a lot of cool brands & people, but more importantly, I've continued to explore & share my creative vision. My vision is to bring my own, modern flare & combine it with traditional cinema techniques.

I'm a director, editor, and cinematographer, photographer, all in one. Whether you need me for just one of the roles, or all of the above, I got you covered. I can be an editor for a project, a videographer/photographer for social media deliverables, or even a director for a larger scale production.
